
Osh-Horog
Day 1. Osh (980m) – Tulpar-Kol (3,500m)
On the way to the village we will see quite different landscapes of the Alay mountains. Going Via Taldyk pass (3,615m). Stop on the way for lunch in Sary-Tash village. We will pass Sary tash village that lead to both China and Tajik Borders. Then we continue to Tulpar-Kol lake – it is located under the peak Lenin. If the weather is sunny we will see the Greatness of Peak Lenin (7,134m), so cross the fingers) Overnight in Guesthouse.
Day 2. Tulpar-Kol – Kara-Kul
Drive to Kara-Kul. We will pass the Kyzyl art pass (4,282m). You will notice the difference of greeny Kyrgyz mountains and brown Tajik mountains with cutting tops. Overnight in Guesthouse
Day 3. Kara-Kul – Rangkul – Murghab
Day 4. Murghab – Langar
Transfer to Langar. Early morning drive along the Wakhan Corridor from Murgab to Langar. When we get to Langar we climb up to the ancient petroglyphs and see the beaty of the Pamirs.
Above the village of Vrang, on a cliff-side pitted with caves, stands a Buddhist complex dating from 4th-7th centuries. In the cool of the morning we climb up above the langar village to see the petroglyphs. Overnight in Guesthouse
Day 5. Langar – Yamg – Ishkashim
Day 6. Ishkashim – Khorog
Continue to Khorog. We stop along the way for a scenic picnic. In couple hours we reach the mouth of the Wakhan River valley. This is where the 19th century Great Game ended, between the Russian and British empires. On the way stop for hot springs at Garm-e-Chasma. From here the road continues up along the north side of the river. There are amazing views of the Pamirs to the right and the Hindu Kush to the left. Overnight in Guesthouse
